The Strategy

Teens Can Start Earning Early For College

I get tons of question quite frequently about work from home. One of the most recent questions I got and have gotten in the past is, “how old does a person have to be to be a work from home representative?”

Until a few days ago it never really hit me to think about how much the question ties into student loan debt and just preparing for college. So, I decided to share a list of companies and ways teens can earn starting as early as 13 years of age. One of the best strategies a person can take when preparing for college, debt, and just saving in general, is to start early.

If I were the younger version of me, that’s the advice I would have given myself. I started working at age 16, but saving for college was the farthest thing from my mind.

So enough about me and student loans…Here are a few companies and different ways those ages 13  and up can definitely take a look at when trying to find ways to earn extra cash during the summer and while attending school.

Job ideas for those 13 to 18-year-olds…

Dog Walking
Newspaper route
 Snack Stand
Online store sales through social media or Esty

On a normal basis, most work from home call centers hire agents at age 18, but you can always research to find out if there are companies out there by conducting a good ole Google search.

A few jobs sites you can view are Snag-A-Job and

Other work from home options include, but are not limited to…

YouTube (You can find some awesome teenagers on YouTube with some great content.)

(Survey sites are also an option) Cashcrate, Mindfield OnlineSurvey Savvy, & Swagbucks

I’m certain there are other ideas I haven’t mentioned here.  If you do the research, I’m certain you will find lots more.
